We have two legal assistants and one legal executive ...

S. Ganandran a/l K. Sivanantham

LL.B. (Hons) London

Mr Ganandran obtained his LL.B (Hons) degree as an external student from the University of London in June 1995 and then obtained the Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) in July 1998. He chambered in Sault & Co, Malacca from November 1998. He was admitted to the Bar and was enrolled as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya at Malacca on 20^th August 1999. Upon completion of his chambering he commenced practice as a legal assistant with M/s Ibrahim Nik Junainah & Associates on 1^st September 1999 and thereafter joined M/s Abdul Rahman & Associates at their Johor Bahru Branch on 1^st January 2002 as their branch solicitor. At both the above firms, he was handling conveyancing as well as banking litigation.

He joined M/s Michael Teoh & Balan (now known as M/s Michael Teoh, Balan & Ida Zura) as a legal assistant on 1^st January 2004 and is now assisting Mr Balan in the litigation department.

Sharon M. Y. Teoh

LL.B. (Hons) London

Ms Sharon Teoh graduated from the University of London with an LL.B. (Hons) degree in July 2001. She was awarded the Certificate of Legal Practice in 2004. She chambered in Messrs Michael Teoh, Balan & Ida Zura from November 2004 under the guidance of Mr Balan. During this period, she was exposed to both litigation and conveyancing matters.

Upon completion of her pupilage, she was admitted to the Bar on 2^nd September 2005 at Johor Bahru and thus enrolled as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya. Thereafter, she stayed on to practice as a legal assistant on 1^st October 2005. She is now assisting Mr Balan in the litigation department and Mr Michael Teoh in the conveyancing department.

Ms Sharon Teoh was an Honorary Treasurer and is currently the Honorary Secretary for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Johor Bahru (S.P.C.A.).

Padma Priya a/p Manikam

LL.B. (Hons) UWE, Bristol UK

Legal Executive

Ms Priya pursued her law course by way of a twinning programme, whereby she obtained her Diploma and Advance Diploma at HELP Institute in Kuala Lumpur and went on to obtain her degree in LL.B. (Hons) at the University of the West of England (UWE), Bristol, United Kingdom in 2003.

During her stay at UWE, she was a member of the Law Society and co-founder of the Malaysian & Singaporean Students Association. After obtaining her degree, she stayed on to work at Support Against Racist Incidents (S.A.R.I.) where she handled racial incidents and discrimination cases. Her work required her to liase with Bristol City Council, Housing Board, Legal Aid and the Police in order to assist clients solve their problems, including assisting Senior Case Workers in court and providing witnesses with support.

Ms Priya joined Messrs Michael Teoh, Balan & Ida Zura as a Legal Executive in March 2005. She assists Mr Balan in the litigation department, handling accident matters.
