Norzaila Binti Rawi
LL.B. (Hons) IIUM
Puan Zaila read law in the International Islamic University, Malaysia (IIUM) from 1993 to 1997.
She completed her degree course and obtained the Bachelor of Law (LL.B) with honours in April 1997. She chambered in
Messrs Abdul Halim & Co, Kuala Terengganu from September until December 1997 and at Messrs G.T.S & Americk Sidhu,
Kuala Terengganu from December until June 1998. During her chambering period, she gained extensive experience in Conveyancing
as well as Litigation.
She was admitted to the Bar and was enrolled as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in Kuala
Terengganu on 28th August 1998. Upon completing her chambering, she commenced practice as a legal assistant of Messrs Sandu
& Co, Kuala Terengganu from April 1999 and thereafter joined Messrs E.Ramasamy & Co, Muar, Johor in December 1999.In March 2000, she joined Messrs Hazelin & Associates, Muar, Johor
as a branch solicitor. At the said firm, she was exposed to criminal, civil and conveyancing matters. In August 2002, she
joined Messrs K.J.Lo & Co, Batu Pahat, Johor as a legal assistant mainly handling conveyancing matters.
In August 2003, she joined Messrs Bala Gopal & Associates, Malacca and at the said firm, she handled criminal,
civil and coveyancing matters. In July 2005, she joined Messrs Lawrence Pereira & Partners as a legal assistant and was
in charge of insurance claim.
She joined Messrs Michael Teoh, Balan & Ida Zura in April 2006 as a legal assistant and is now assisting
Mr. Balan in the litigation department.
